Git error - short commit IDs are not always unique
Reported by Chad Woolley | November 19th, 2008 @ 02:08 AM
This means that git.rb#update fails.
This is compounded by the following bug, which prevents the bad return code from being detected:
http://cruisecontrolrb.lighthous...
So, this means the build continues (with the same revision as the last build), and continues building the same revision over and over again.

NOTE: I had to delete my old 5-character build dirs after applying this patch, or else I still had problems with the duplicate commits.
I think this may be due to this code in SourceControl::Git#filter_revisions_by_subdirectory

They are now 7 characters, this should always be unique.
